SMS Terms and Consent

Last updated: August 5, 2026

This page explains how text messaging works with CallSalvage, both for businesses that hire us and for people who call one of those businesses.

If you called a business that uses CallSalvage

You are receiving a text message because you called a business that uses CallSalvage to answer calls it could not pick up. Your phone number was captured from that inbound call for the sole purpose of replying to you about the service you were calling about.

Message frequency: you will typically receive one message after your missed call, plus any replies in your conversation. Message frequency varies based on your responses.

Cost: message and data rates may apply. Messages are free from us, but your mobile carrier may charge you.

To stop: reply STOP at any time and you will receive no further messages from that business through our system.

For help: reply HELP or contact us at [email protected] or (619) 853-2864.

Carriers: mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not send cold text messages

Our system only messages people who contacted a client business first, by calling their published number. We do not buy phone lists, and we never send unsolicited marketing texts. Our own sales outreach to businesses happens by phone, email, and social message, never by text.

Mobile information is never shared or sold

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt in data and consent is not shared with any third parties. Information is shared only with the service providers strictly necessary to deliver the message, such as our messaging platform and mobile carriers.

If you are a CallSalvage client

By connecting your business line, you confirm that:

  • You own or are authorized to use that number.
  • Messages will only be sent to people who called your business first.
  • You have reviewed and approved the answer scripts our system is allowed to send.
  • You will complete A2P 10DLC registration with us, which United States carriers require before any message can be delivered.
  • You will not use the service to send marketing to people who did not contact you.

Opt out handling

STOP requests are honored automatically and immediately across our platform. Once someone opts out, our system will not message them again on behalf of that business unless they contact the business again and explicitly ask to be texted.

Privacy

How we handle information generally is described in our Privacy Policy.
